Immediately after the opening ceremony of the 43rd National Table Tennis Championship of Nhan Dan Newspaper, on the morning of May 20, the delegation of the Organizing Committee led by Mr. Ta Quang Dung, Head of the Culture and Society Department of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee, visited and presented gifts at the University of Physical Education and Sports of Da Nang and the University of Education, Da Nang University.

This is an annual activity with many meanings, part of a series of sideline events of the tournament, aiming to spread the spirit of sports to the university education environment.

At the University of Physical Education and Sports of Da Nang, the delegation presented a table tennis table that met international competition standards and a number of specialized books.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Ta Quang Dung, Head of the Cultural and Social Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized: “In addition to the professional competitions, the activity of donating sports equipment to localities is always maintained by the Organizing Committee as a highlight of the community of the tournament. We wish to contribute to promoting the spirit of physical education and sports in schools; especially encouraging students to actively practice, improve their physical fitness and aim for higher achievements in the future”.

Representative of the sponsor, Mr. Dang Thanh Hai, General Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mofit Vietnam, shared: “Mofit is honored to accompany the National Table Tennis Championship of Nhan Dan Newspaper and meaningful social activities like today. We believe that the donated equipment will further motivate students to love sports, forming a positive and healthy lifestyle”.

The Principal of Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Thanh Hai, expressed his appreciation for the attention of the Organizing Committee and accompanying units: “The school always focuses on improving the quality of training and physical training conditions for students. The international competition standard table tennis table and specialized books are practical and meaningful gifts, not only supporting the material facilities but also adding spirit for teachers and students of the school to continue to strive in the career of sports education and training”.

After the working session, the representative of the organizing committee had a friendly table tennis match with the school's lecturers. The match took place in a joyful and friendly atmosphere, with many beautiful moves, receiving enthusiastic cheers from delegates and students.

At the University of Education, Da Nang University, the delegation continued to present competition table tennis tables, sports equipment and specialized books to support training and physical training activities for students.

On behalf of the school, Associate Professor, Dr. Vo Van Minh, Principal of the University of Education, Danang University, said: “We highly appreciate the significance of this activity. Physical education and sports play an important role in comprehensive education, contributing to the formation of life skills and positive spirit for students. The support from the Organizing Committee of the National Table Tennis Tournament of Nhan Dan Newspaper and sponsors is a great source of encouragement for the school's lecturers and students”.

Here, there was also a friendly match between representatives of the Organizing Committee and lecturers of the school, contributing to creating an open and cohesive atmosphere. The beautiful balls not only bring the joy of sports but also serve as an opportunity to connect the media, businesses and higher education institutions.

Practical gifts, exciting friendly matches and enthusiastic sharing from the participants affirmed that the sportsmanship is not only present on the field, but also spreads strongly into the school environment, where the future generation of the country is trained.

In his closing speech, comrade Ta Quang Dung affirmed: “Accompanying and supporting school sports not only contributes to improving the physical fitness of students but also fosters positive life values, builds a cohesive community, towards a healthy, humane and sustainably developed society”.
